1. How did Five Finger Posse end up coming together?
We all been friends and shit way before the music shit. It was at a point in time around 2010-2011 when I came with the name 5G(5GOD) for myself I was doing hella art at the time and still am I always use to write and shit just never had a source to a studio. Came up with the name 5Fingerposse in 2012 because me and the homies use to high hella stores and other shit you know (5finger discount) type shit running off wit niggas shit. It wasn’t until 2015 when we really said fuck everything and just started turning up.
2. What’s the significance of the number five in both your name and your crew’s name?
Well continuing from the first question I answered it was kind of a play on words from (5fingerdiscount) shit but I also used to be very deep in numerology so I related the name with life itself too like the 5 senses see,smell,touch,hear,and taste. I was really deep into the number 5 I’ve read so much about it basically.
3. What about Working On Dying’s production style makes them such a good fit for you and your crew’s music?
The grittyness, the hard bass, crazy tempos, plus alot of people tend to forget that 5 x WOD, we all knew each other way before this music shit we ain’t no internet niggas. we actually all know each other personally so our relationship with WOD is the most organic.
4. Who are your three favorite Philidelphia rappers of all time and why (other than 5FP)?
None of them….Philly music scene was always trash only people that were really doing shit when I was coming up as a kid in my city was StateProperty from Rocafella.
5. How has SpaceGhostPurrp inspired and influenced the music you make?
I wouldn’t really say he inspired me or influenced me to make the music i make I already knew what type of music I was going to make before making it because it was already embedded in my DNA. No diss cuz that’s the fam and I love his sound but the people in the industry that really influenced me was LIL B and The Pack.
6. Anything else you’d like to add?
